NEW YORK, August 20, 2014 -- Inc. magazine today ranked Black Lotus NO. 795 on its 33rd annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. As our company continues to develop its technology and expand its presence, it’s a positive sign when others are recognizing how we’re growing and enhancing offerings. We had a lot of positive feedback during RSA when our booth visitors saw the awards we’ve won in security technology. This week, we received the great news that Red Herring selected us as a finalist for its Top 100 North America award. This list puts us in excellent company with the year’s most promising private technology ventures from across North America, including GENBAND, Rapid7 and Infinio.

This award has a long history; Red Herring has been selecting promising start-ups and "scale ups" (a phase from which we’ve almost graduated) since 1995. The Security Industry’s Coveted Excellence Award Winners and Finalists from all over the world were honored by Info Security Products Guide in San Francisco on February 24, 2014

Black Lotus announced today that Info Security Products Guide, the industry's leading information security research and advisory guide, has named Black Lotus, a Silver and Bronze winner of the 2014 Global Excellence Awards in the Best Overall Security Company of the Year and Awesome Product of the Year categories. The security industry celebrated its 10th Annual 2014 Global Excellence Awards in San Francisco by honoring excellence in every facet of the industry including products, people behind the successes and best companies.

More than 50 judges from a broad spectrum of industry voices from around the world participated and their average scores determined the 2014 Global Excellence Awards Finalists and Winners. Winners were announced during the awards dinner and presentation on February 24, 2014 in San Francisco attended by the finalists, judges and industry peers.

Earlier this month Black Lotus customers were protected against otherwise crippling NTP DDoS attacks exceeding 400 Gbps in size when the company implemented global policies to block these attacks, even for customers which did not subscribe to larger mitigation plans.

Government Security News names Black Lotus as a Finalist in the Best Network Security category in GSN's 4th Annual Homeland Security Awards competition

Los Angeles, November 11, 2012 - Government Security News has announced the finalists – including Black Lotus -- in 34 different categories in its 4th Annual Homeland Security Awards competition, along with the names of the preemptive winners in another eight categories.

In the Best Network Security category, GSN identified Black Lotus as a finalist for its patent-pending Human Behavior Analysis (HBA) system which can detect whether a website visitor is a real human and accurately block malicious connections in order to mitigate Layer 7 DDoS attacks, keeping websites online. Black Lotus has already deployed this technology to government agencies such as the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office which used Black Lotus to defend against attacks during the 2012 GOP National Convention.

"It is such a great honor to be recognized as innovators in network security alongside esteemed finalists Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks.
